Hi! I am a 25 year old photographer, videographer, editor, and drone pilot, born in Toronto, Ontario in September of '99. My passion for photography stems from making music back in 2013. Since then I've developed interests in taking both photo and video. In the fall of 2021, my passion for cinematography led me to the sky when they added a DJI drone to their camera bag. Now I take a mix of photos and ground/air videos in various locations.
Drone flying is an especially challenging hobby to keep up with due to the Canadian winters which prevent flying. But when in season, any chance I get, I take the Mavic Air 2 up to add cutaway shots, some beautiful photos, or just to see the scenery from the sky.
Videography is one of my primary passions. I've gone to various locations to do shoots with friends, or on my own to do solo shoots. Although shooting with friends is often easier, I'll often uses the DJI RSC 2 attached to their Fujifilm X-T30 II to remotely frame and shoot shots, and be my own subject, so I can be involved at every step of production.
In addition to videography, photography is another passion. While I mostly do street/candid photography, it's a dream of mine to get into concert, or other kinds of professional photography.
Outside of exploring the outdoors taking photos/videos of things I find around me, I've been editing various types of videos as early as I can remember. Starting in Windows movie maker in 2011, and now in software like Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Nuke, and others, I've worked on cinematics, trailers, gaming and vlog YouTube videos, mock commercials, and many other types of media.
For a little while, I worked professionally in 3D/VFX. Starting out just making renders for fun, eventually led to commission work, and ended up getting a job at a VFX studio just outside downtown Toronto. I've since retired from VFX work after covid layoffs hit, but will occasionally use the knowledge, experience, software, and resources in my photography/videography. While I'll probably never going to pick up that hobby again, I have fond memories of staying up until sunrise finishing a piece.
